We will be preparing the preliminary budget for charge conference, discussing the possibility of modifying the church council using the One Board Model and reviewing the necessary changes for the church bylaws.

The One Board Model for the Church council will add other committees to the church council. Currently the church council consists of the church council, the finance committee and the nominations committee. We will consider adding the Trustees and the PPR to the committee to work better with the size of our church and to make the meetings more efficient. The North Alabama Conference has provided forms for churches to use for charge conference should they choose to use the One Board Model for their church council.

The work on the church bylaws is necessary to reflect that the church is no longer using the Safe Sanctuary policies, which were used by the North Alabama Conference of the United Methodist Church. The church is currently using the Ministry Safe Policies, which are being used by the Provisional North Alabama Conference of the Global Methodist Church.
